Sure, a good cover line can entice readers to grab a magazine off the newsstand or bookshelf. But in the absence of 50-point neon type and 35 Ways to Blow His Mind, Bitch has always relied on design, illustration, and color to draw people into our pages. It’s not often that we have an opportunity to highlight the illustrators, designers, and artists that make Bitch Media the beautiful, compelling, and hard-hitting media organization that readers know and love. Our 20th anniversary seemed like the perfect time to do just that.
To mark the occasion, we invited 40 incredible artists to create original pieces for “No Feminism, No Future”. The group show—on display at the Lagunitas Community Room in Portland, Oregon on December 9, 2016— celebrated the wide range of artistic voices of the contributing illustrators, artists, and designers we’ve worked with since we were founded in 1996.
