Backtalk: Oh Really, Megyn Kelly? & Bustle’s Hustle

This week, Dahlia and Amy get really, very, super frustrated about Megyn Kelly’s new NBC show, where she’ll feature fake-news conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. They also dig into how Bustle is trying to hustle their readers into giving up personal information under the guise of delivering more personalized content—all the while ripping off Bitch Media’s membership program name. And in Petty Political Pminute, it’s all about Comey’s hearings and the lying, liar-ness of Trump.

On each episode, we share one thing we saw, read, and heard this week.

SAW: Netflix’s The Keepers is much more than a true crime series, as it delves into the extent to which the Archdiocese of Baltimore covered up the massive abuse at the hands of one of their priests. This is a series about believing survivors, how statutes of limitations in abuse cases are judicial travesties, and how the powerful manipulate the vulnerable.

READ: This week marks the one-year anniversary of the heartbreaking Pulse shooting, and we’re reading Bani Amor’s touching ode to their hometown of Orlando, “Tiny Massacres,” which explores what it means for someone who is a queer person of color.

HEARD: Dahlia is loving the latest from Marnie of Ladytron in the dark-synth-poppy, cheerleader-chanty track “G.I.R.L.S.
