On Backtalk, Bitch Media editors Amy and Sarah discuss pop culture news of the week.
In this episode, we talk about Congress grilling Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards and then delve into dust-up over how author Erica Jong discusses race and feminism. Plus: The problems with the word “seminal.”
Also on Backtalk, we recommend one thing we read, saw, and heard:
• Saw: Amy is excited about how the new season of How to Get Away With Murder is discussing HIV/AIDS.
• Read: Sarah stayed up way too late at night reading Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me.
• Heard: We listen to “Something” from 19-year-old queer Memphis musician Julien Baker.

Is there a transcript for this podcast? Thanks!
We don't have a transcript - sorry!

Hi Ahimsa! We pay to professionally transcribe Popaganda episodes but don't have the budget right now to transcribe Backtalk, too. Sorry! Transcribing shows takes a lot of time and doing it well is a skill. If there's a specific section you're looking to quote or read, let me know and I can ask a volunteer to transcribe it.
