On Our Radar: Feminist News Roundup

Hey, it's Tuesday. Here's all the news we're reading today:

• Republican presidential candidates have said all sorts of terrible, vitriolic things about “leading the fight” against Planned Parenthood. But they're silent in the wake of the Colorado Planned Parenthood shooting. [New Yorker]

• Four men have been charged in the shooting of Black Lives Matter protesters in Minneapolis. The protesters were hoping the shooters would be charged with attempted murder, hate crimes, or terrorism-related crimes, but they were charged with second-degree assault and rioting. [Colorlines]

• Check out this beautiful interview with poet Franny Choi, who imagines a world without police. [PBS]

• Dense smog is settling over Chinese and Indian cities as world leaders meet up to talk about climate change. [New York Times]

• Also, during the talks, people around the world are protesting in support of better environmental policies. [Grist]

• Coming out to abuelita: Here's a moving story about a young gay man coming out to his religious grandmother. [Latino USA]

• I love this podcast episode on women in science, tech, and math jobs in films. [Stuff Mom Never Told You]
