When will my Rage swag, books, back issues, or merch get here?

As of March 2020, in order to keep our staff and volunteers safe, our headquarters is closed. For this reason, there will be a significant shipping delay of up to a couple months of merchandise and membership benefits. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep our staff safe.

Can I apply for an internship with Bitch?

Bitch is not currently offering any internships. We do not make any exceptions.

If you would like to write for Bitch, you may pitch an article or apply for our Writers Fellowship program in the summer. You can also sign up for our email list to keep up-to-date on job postings and other announcements.

Can I pitch to publish an article online and/or in the magazine?

We accept stories on a pitch-by-pitch basis. If you have an idea, please submit it through our Submittable portal, and one of our editors will respond as soon as they can.

Can I advertise with Bitch?

You can learn more about supporting Bitch Media through a sponsorship here. We do not publish paid articles, post swaps, or paid links in our articles. We will not respond to those requests.

Questions about Bitch magazine and your subscription

How can I buy Bitch magazine at newsstands?

How do I buy a subscription to Bitch magazine for someone else?

How can I change my mailing address?

Where is my issue? / Why haven’t I received a magazine? / I think my issue got lost in the mail.

Bitch magazine is a quarterly magazine published in March, June, September, and December. Each issue is sent out in bulk mailings rather than to each person as they join/subscribe. Subscribers who have joined one month before publication will be part of a main mailing run when an issue is published. 

If you subscribed (welcome!) after the publication of an issue, your issue will be shipped out in a once-a-month batch from a third-party magazine fulfillment center. As magazine fulfillment centers work with tens of thousands of issues per run, it may take a few weeks for your magazine to ship. After that, it may take up to four weeks for the U.S. Postal Service to deliver it to your address. If you have not received your issue and 6 weeks have passed since you purchased a subscription, please let us know.

Outside of the U.S.? Magazines can take 6-8 weeks to arrive for subscribers outside of the US. Unfortunately, due to the nature of international postage, U.S. Postal Service tracking service ends when the package leaves the U.S. and we are not able to give any further details about its location.

When does my subscription expire? When do I need to renew?

Really, you can renew whenever you like. Your renewal letters specify what issue will be your last: Spring (March), Summer (June), Fall (October), or Winter (December), followed by the year in which your subscription expires. You can renew here.

Why am I getting renewal notices saying “last issue” when I still have more to come?

Yikes. It’s possible that your renewal notice was sent right after we mailed your next-to-last issue, but it took the magazine longer to arrive and hence the confusion.

Can I temporarily stop my subscription?

Yes. If your address is up in the air, or if you’re going to be out of the country for awhile, we can pause your subscription. Just let us know you’d like to pause it, and when you are ready to restart, send us a quick email!

What is the difference between a membership and an annual subscription?

Membership in The Rage is a monthly pledge to support independent, feminist media. You receive both a print and digital subscription and additional swag based on your membership level. A digital subscription is only offered through a membership in The Rage.

A subscription to Bitch magazine is a one-time payment to receive our quarterly print issue for one, two, or three years. You do not receive any additional swag.

Please note that, to cover international shipping costs, a print subscription can only be offered to non-U.S. members of The Rage at the $10/month level or higher.

I’ve purchased a subscription, but I can’t access the digital issues on the app. Can you help?

If you are trying to access a subscription to Bitch magazine via an app (like PocketMags), that is outside of our domain. Third party companies sell Bitch subscriptions through their mobile apps and are not affiliated with Bitch Media. (Bitch Media itself does not own or run any apps.) The annual subscription you purchase on www.bitchmedia.org is currently only for the print issue that is mailed to you.

Can I receive a digital edition of the magazine?

How can I cancel or pause my membership?

You can visit this page to get a secure link to the billing portal. You can select “Manage my membership” to change the status of your payment. Just make sure the email address you use matches the one tied to your membership!

How do I change my monthly donation amount?

You can visit this page to get a secure link to the billing portal. You can select “Manage my membership” to increase or decrease your monthly giving amount. If the amount you enter qualifies for a new level of membership in The Rage, you will be upgraded and sent all relevant benefits! Just make sure the email address you use matches the one tied to your membership!

How do I access my digital issues?

As a member, you have access to all digital issues that have been released while your membership is active. You can access those by logging into your Bitch Media Account and selecting the “Digital issue” tab on your profile.

Can I purchase a membership in The Rage as a gift for someone else?

Yes! You can do that here. Your recipient will receive all of the swag associated with the level you select, as well as the magazine subscription in digital (and print, if you select it for them).

 


Merchandise/Bitchmart

When will I get my order?

As of March 2020, in order to keep our staff and volunteers safe, our headquarters is closed. Merchandise orders, including books and back issues of magazines from our BitchMart normally ship within 5 business days. Subscriptions ship within 6-8 weeks. If you have not received your order within the appropriate window, please alert us.

What if I live outside the US and have special shipping instructions?

If special mailing instructions or conditions apply to your order, contact us. Please include your name, shipping address, item description and any special instructions. Delivery times will vary based on geographic location, local mail system, and other factors. Your patience is appreciated!
