I’ve been producing webcomics since I was 15 and doing it full-time as a professional since the age of 25 at Periscope Studio in Portland, OR. My work has been published by Dark Horse Comics, BOOM! Studios, Image Comics, Fantagraphics, Last Gasp and Villard, among my many self-published projects as well.
This is useful advice! Tears and irritation have become a terrible problem for me, even though I DO use lube. I'm pretty happy with this new one I'm trying (the brand actually called "non-friction"), but those botanicals are enticing, and I'll have to see if my local sex store has any pink around.

Thank you so much! I think I will actually try this lube. Due to cancer treatments, I have gone through menopause at 26, and sex is a bit of a struggle for me, both getting my libido up, but also being able to have pain free sex for more than 5 minutes due to dryness. My current lube is okay, but I'm thinking this might be a big help. I really love these comics!
So recently some manufacturers of silicone lube and silicone toys have said that they can be used together so we did a bunch of tests at Early to Bed and found this to be true! 100% silicone toys can be compatible with high-grade silicone lube (like Pink). We still recommend doing a patch test on the bottom of your toy first... just to be sure, but we have found to our great joy that they can be used together (and it is BLOWING OUR MINDS).
I have used Pink high-grade silicone lube on silicone sex toys and it works fine for me, but I also made a patch test first! as "Searah Deysach" recommended.
But if you want to be safe, then use a water-based lube :) As recommended in the comic!
Hvis du bruger en god vandbaseret glidecreme sammen med dit silikone sexlegetøj, så er du på den sikker side!
Honestly, I love this post because this is one of the most helpful tips that I've read about sex toys and stuffs. We should always be careful in buying novelty items because not everyone are compatible of it.

I 'd be willing to bet it's parabens causing that burning sensation. That's how I and many others react to them.
