“Could America become Mississippi?” asks writer Jamelle Bouie. A new study shows that white people become more conservative if they’re aware of demographic changes that put them in the racial minority—this could lead to more polarization nationwide. [Slate] 

• Sheryl Sandberg and FOX’s Megyn Kelly debated the realities of the gender wage gap last night. Kelly argued that laws guaranteeing equal pay “infantilize” women. Yikes! [Salon] 

• The next episode of Germany’s Next Top Model ships aspiring models to Utah to do a “Native American” photo shoot. Problems. [Clutch]
