When did the NFL first receive the video of Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice assaulting his partner? Turns out a security team sent them the video back in APRIL. Geez. [JET] 

• Sports journalism outlets might have covered the domestic violence charges more vociferously if they employed more women. [NPR] 

• YouTubers have been speaking out against fellow vlogger Sam Pepper, who uploaded a bunch of videos of “pranks” where he sexually assaults women. Now he’s been dropped by his network. [The Mary Sue] 

• Recent federal decisions made it clear that the 1964 Civil Rights Act should protect the employment rights of transgender people—the government filed its first transgender discrimination lawsuits this week. [Jezebel] 

• The Supreme Court has recently been protecting the rights of the majority, not minorities. [The Atlantic] 

• New Shonda Rhimes show How to Get Away With Murder debuted last night to rave reviews. [AV Club] 

• And new ABC show Black-ish is looking like it will be the best-reviewed show of the season. [Vulture]
