• Over 1,000 people marched through a St. Louis neighborhood early this morning as part of the “Weekend of Resistance” to police brutality and racism. [Think Progress] 

Nurses and midwives in the UK staged a major walk-out this morning, striking for better pay from the national health service. [Slate] 

• New PBS show The Whiteness Project aims to get white people talking realistically about race. [Colorlines] 

• A powerful conservative judge has ruled against the legality of voter ID laws. [Salon] 

• Here’s one story of how abortion restriction laws can humiliate vulnerable teens. [Boing Boing] 

• The new book Queer and Trans Artists of Color looks really interesting. [Autostraddle] 

• Geek Girl Con drew thousands of nerdy ladies to downtown Seattle this weekend. If you missed it, don’t worry, I took a bunch of photos. [Bitch]
