Here’s what we’re reading today: 

• Gunmen have attacked the offices of a satirical newspaper in Paris known for publishing political cartoons—at least 12 people were killed in the attack, including four cartoonists. [AlJazeera]  

• A bomb was set off at a Colorado branch of the NAACP on Tuesday. No one was hurt, luckily. [Think Progress] 

• More than 216 million Americans—70 percent of the country—now live in a state with marriage equality. [HRC] 

• To get nominated for an Oscar, it seems like it’s still best to be a mediocre movie about a white guy. [Vox] 

• The new Marvel and ABC TV show Agent Carter seems like it could be a step forward for small-screen heroines, but an early review says the show is boring, heavy-handed, and actually mostly about men. [Slate]  

Phylicia Rashad is defending Bill Cosby against his numerous sexual assault allegations. [Guardian] 

• Maybe you cringe at the trend in deeming all plaid things “lumbersexual,” but here’s an interesting essay about lumbersexual fashion and “hipster masculinity.” [Sociological Images] 

• Truth or scare: A nurse busts some widespread myths about vaginas and sexual health. [Rookie]

You know about the whole vagina myths...

Nobody ever says anything about penises, but they are not suppose to smell like "roses" either. And in fact can be just as bad. Odor-wise that is.
