• Thousands of people took to the streets of Baltimore in protest yesterday after the funeral of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old Black man who died of injuries sustained in police custody. • Today is a big day in the ongoing push for same-sex marriage: The Supreme Court is hearing arguments today about whether it’s unconstitutional for a state to ban same-sex marriage. [NPR] 

• An anti-gay heckler was dragged out the Supreme Court this morning—he was screaming about “God raining down brimstone.” [Advocate] 

• The US Court of Appeals is examining the Texas voter ID law, which requires people to bring identification to the polling site in order to vote. [The Nation]
