Popaganda Episode: Blue

Blue is the color of summer. It's also the theme of Bitch's summer print issue. This episode highlights three stories from the magazine. First, writer Nyasha Junior discusses a dark side of blue: the lack of pop culture portrayals of African American women with mental illness. Then, sex toy researcher Hallie Lieberman explores a “blue” conversation topic: the history of dildos. The show wraps up with a conversation between artist MariNaomi and Bitch Media Art Director Kristin Rogers Brown about making nonfiction comics.

Plus: vintage blues tunes from Gladys Bentley. Tune in!
