Besides shooting Infomania at Current.com, writing and pitching a screenplay, contributing to the Post and Tribune, Sarah Haskins still manages to find time to curl up with a good read. Here Sarah indulges me by recommending books for quite the assortment of characters.

Sarah’s recs for….
The recent college grad….
The Magus, John Fowles
“A great cautionary tale about that first job you’ll have out of school!”

The unemployed recent college grad…
Brideshead Revisited, Evelyn Waugh
“You can read books about the larger world, but if you’re feeling self-involved and self-pitying, cause you’re unemployed and you just got out of school, I’d go with something that evokes nostalgia.”
______________________________________________________________
And for an unemployed trapeze artist….”Is this someone you know?”
Bluebeard, Kurt Vonnegut
“Maybe the trapeze artist doesn’t want to read about the circus!”
______________________________________________________________
My own mother….
Wild Swans, Jung Chang
“Yeah you are not harvesting rice during the Cultural Revolution.”
______________________________________________________________
Bristol Palin….
The Dive from Clausen’s Pier, Ann Packer
“Bristol Palin needs a book about a young woman whose expectations are preventing her from realizing her potential. It’s not all Middlemarch-y, let’s face it, Bristol is not going to read Middlemarch.”

And for Suri Cruise….
Eloise, Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight.
“What do you do for the girl who has everything?”

One more great time spent with Sarah!
I am maybe one of the 5 people who actually watches InfoMania on an actual , and I love it! Sarah is clearly the highlight, but the rest of the cast is equally endearing-hilarious. My favorite Target: Women was the chick flicks edition, but after seeing last week's Disney princesses I have only one thing on my mind: I can't believe you did it with Ben!
