Song Debut: Daddy Issue's “Unicorns and Rainbows”

There are two main things I like about Nashville-based trio Daddy Issues: 

1) They list their musical genre as “somewhere between witchy grunge and surf glam.” 

2) They describe their first cassette release as “a punch in the face to the patriarchy.” 

Do you really need to know anything else or are you pretty much sold?

Daddy Issues a three-piece group featuring Jenna Moynihan on guitar and vocals, Jenna Mitchell on bass, and Emily Maxwell on drums. The friends only recently started channeling their angst into fun and unpretentious three-minute-long punk songs and their first release, a limited-edition cassette called Can We Still Hang, comes out on June 30 from Infinity Cat Recordings. 

Today, we’re excited to debut their song “Unicorns and Rainbows,” a track about rejecting potential boyfriends and how girls are not actually made of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
