The Courage Campaign released a video in response to the brief Ken Starr filed in California to nullify the 18,000 marriages that took place there last year before Proposition 8 passed. Set to Regina Spektor’s “Fidelity”, the video shows dozens of same-sex couples, their friends and family holding signs that simply state “Don’t Divorce Us”. I’m not going to lie, I cried when I watched it for the first time. Read more after the jump…

Arguments in this case will be presented before the Supreme Court on March 5. Go to CourageCampaign.org for more information and to sign a letter to the California Supreme Court encouraging them to let these couples stay married. The deadline is Valentine’s Day.

The one with the firemen was right: we should all be so lucky.
And "love cannot be voted away."
Maybe it's cuz I'm a little extra hormonal this week, but I cried. A happy cry. And then I posted the video as a blog for my friends who normally wouldn't be exposed to this kind of thing, partly because they're terrified of the term 'feminist' and the magazine 'bitch.' It makes me giggle...

Something Needs to be Done

It still shocks me that people can still be so biased and discriminatory against other human beings.
Equal rights - all I have been hearing lately is that we are working towards them and making a lot of progress but I cannot help but disagree. When someone tries to stop the happiness of so many others it just goes to show that there is still a lot of work to be done.
(The video brought tears to my eyes)

1). Kenn Starr sucks, 2). Good article Ashley, and 3). Isn't it against the constitution to prosectue an ex-post facto law (I.E. punish someone by divorcing them)? Its not their fault that the law changed, so they shouldn't be receive the consequences for something that was out of their control. Our government should concern themselves with actual problems in America like poverty, social injustice, and that little detail called our failing economy instead of who wants to love who.
Great, Ashley. Way to make

Love is love is love

Hating it, voting against it, calling it names, none of that will stop love. Gender is irrelevant. Why would anyone want to take away any scrap of love in this hate-filled world? Ridiculous!
This video was beautiful. I'm not ashamed to say I cried. I wish all of them the deepest joy and lifetimes of love together. All of them. My heart is big enough to accept love -- shouldn't everyone's be?
