Akshita is a woman who works as an independent multimedia journalist, filmmaker, and language trainer. She belongs to an immigration that divided up India and Pakistan in 1947, so she lives in New Delhi with her heart in Lahore. Occupying space as a woman is her passion project, in addition to learning and teaching Urdu and Persian and whatever language she can access.
Presently, bell hooks is helping re-do her life in a glorious way. When she’s not writing, filmmaking, or reading, she’s listening to Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan with whatever she’s doing; or another artist whose language she hasn’t picked yet.
