Committed to platforms that prioritize experience as a source of truth, Chanelle launched a feminist web platform as co-editor in chief of Bluestockings Magazine at Brown University before later becoming the Managing Editor at Black Girl Dangerous. When Chanelle is not writing about music and feminism, she finds other ways to write about the ways marginalized knowledge producers are systematically invalidated for posing a powerful threat to the dominant order. With the support of a Fulbright Fellowship, Chanelle recently completed a Master’s on the history of French colonial appropriation of Malagasy healing practices.
