Devyn Manibo is a Jersey City raised and based maker, mover, organizer, and educator. She is a recent graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, MA where she received her BA in New Media, Performance, and Queer Studies. She is currently a Program and Communications Assistant at Theatre of the Oppressed NYC, and she is passionate about breaking down the walls between art and activism and fostering and sustaining space for her communities to tell their stories wholly. She is one half of Cancer Rising, an interdisciplinary/multigalactic femme collaboration operating from sites of temporal distortion, centering ideas and practices of interdependence, ancestral embodiment, and processes of healing. She can usually be found causing some kind of ruckus in the streets and in the kitchen, concocting herbal remedies and potions, or eating a lot of goat milk ice cream. She was Bitch's New Media Intern in the Summer of 2012.
