Mala Muñoz is a writer, podcast producer, and educator from Los Angeles. She graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in American Studies in 2014. Between 2014 and 2018 she worked as a Rape Crisis Counselor-Advocate on the Emergency Response Team at Peace Over Violence, a local rape and domestic violence crisis center. She has written about rape culture, violence against women in Latinx communities, and the work of women of color artists for the Huffpost Blog, Everyday Feminism, VIBE, and Prism. Mala is a Co-Founder, Producer, and Host of Locatora Radio, a Radiophonic Novela. She is a self-defense instructor and serves as the Human Development Program Coordinator and Dean of Student Voices at a school for girls in Los Angeles.
