I’m a freelance writer and former public school teacher with 3+ years experience teaching art and creative writing to kids in grades K-5. I write for The Huffington Post, Daily Beast, Salon, Rumpus.net, xoJane, The Fix, The Gloss and elsewhere. I’ve been interviewed by Marie Claire, Bust and Mother Jones. As an undergraduate at Antioch College, I conducted ethnographic research across Europe and in the US, interviewing women involved in all aspects of the sex industry about their lives and professions. That research is published in Research on Sex Work and Sex Work Matters: Power and Intimacy in the Sex Industry (Zed). I hold a BA from Antioch College, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the New School, a Masters in Education from Fordham University.
