Thomas is interested in the intersection between science and poetry, and is currently working on a hybrid essay/poetry/philosophy collection exploring healing as metaphor entitled "This Fragile Fortress," which is excerpted on his website. You can also find his work in a variety of magazines, newspapers, and an anthology. Thomas was recently awarded a writer's residency with RADAR Lab and the Mary Tanenbaum Literary Award for Nonfiction from The San Francisco Foundation. He lives in Oakland, California.
