Rebecca Roher is a cartoonist, illustrator and educator from Toronto. Her comics and illustrations have been published on the Nib, GUTS Magazine, Bitch Media, Mashable.com, Symbolia Magazine and Seven Days Alt-Weekly. She recently illustrated a middle-grade novel for Macmillan's Roaring Brook Press. Her comic, "Bird in a Cage", about her grandmother’s decline into dementia, won the Best English Comic at Expozine in 2014. "Mom Body", her recent comic about the transformation involved in pregnancy, has been featured on Bitch Media, the New York Times Now, Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, the Daily Mail and Yahoo Parenting. She recently graduated with a Masters of Fine Art from the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont and is currently working with an obstetrician/gynaecologist at UCLA to create graphic materials about reproductive health.
