An artist, musician, and social critic whose activism most often takes the form of reading and writing. Perennially obsessed with the big questions of justice and meaning in transnational times, I’m currently working on a project provisionally entitled “The role of popular journalism in the Canadian imaginary: The queer and the immigrant as symbolic threats to a changing public sphere.” I love espresso, Italian reds, my fiancee, novels where queer characters’ plot lines don’t revolve around the “trauma” of being queer, and the landscape of northern Ontario.
